Those of you who knew Air Commodore Chris Bruce, an ex RAF Boulmer Station Commander, will be saddened to hear that he passed away on 27 December 2012. He was a charming man who I also knew as the Deputy Commandant of the RAF Staff College, Bracknell.

Chris Bruce was my CO at Boulmer in 1983, and a fine Station Commander he was too. How sad to hear of his passing. RIP

Mike

The announcement in the Telegraph is here. It states:
On 27th December, following a mercifully short illness, Air Commodore Christopher Bruce (Ret'd), much loved husband of Jenny, and beloved father and grandfather. Thanksgiving Service will be held at All Saints Church, Marlow on 8th January at 2.30 p.m. No flowers please; if desired, donations to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
