Sad passing of Colin Latham

Print Post
I have just learned, via the DEHS, of the death of Colin Latham whom many of you may know. Friend of the ADRM and long-time figure in the world of Radar, Colin served in the RAF as a Radar Instructor in WW II.  He finally retired in 1986 as Chief Engineer, Airspace Control Division with Marconi Radar Systems. Along with Anne Stobbs (seen in the picture), Colin published several definitive books on the history of Radar. Sadly, Anne passed away in 2008. Colin was active until his last days, walking and re-wiring a generator - as all good Engineers will do to pass the time of day! He died peacefully after suffering an aneurism. The ADRM remembers both Colin and Anne for their contribution to preserving the history of Radar and I thought Members of the Association would wish to note his sad passing.  Embarrassed
